This policy explains what information Wave Hibachi at Home (“we”, “us”) collects through wavehibachiathome.com, how we use it, and the choices you have — including your rights as a California resident.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you request a quote or book a party, we collect your name, email, phone number, event address and ZIP code, event date and time, guest count, occasion, menu choices and any notes you add (for example dietary needs). If you call, text or email us, we receive what you send.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we and our service providers collect device and usage data through cookies and similar technologies — such as pages visited, the link or ad that brought you here (including UTM tags and ad click IDs), browser type and approximate location.
How we use it
To respond to your request, prepare your quote, schedule and deliver your party, contact you about your booking, improve our website and services, measure and improve our advertising, and comply with legal obligations.
Who we share it with
We don’t sell your personal information for money. We share it only with service providers that help us run the business:
- Website hosting (Vercel) and our booking database (Supabase)
- Email notification delivery (EmailJS)
- Analytics (Google Analytics / Google Tag Manager)
- Advertising measurement (Meta Pixel, used for our Facebook and Instagram ads)
- Payment processors when you pay a deposit or balance
Using advertising tools like the Meta Pixel may count as “sharing” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law. You can opt out as described below.
Your choices and California privacy rights
California residents can ask to know what personal information we have about them, ask us to correct or delete it, and opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We won’t treat you differently for using these rights.
Opt out of sharing: email service@wavehibachiathome.com with the subject “Do Not Sell or Share”. We also honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal — if your browser sends it, our advertising pixel is not loaded. You can also adjust ad settings in your Facebook and Instagram accounts.

Data retention and security
We keep booking information as long as needed to provide our services, handle follow-up questions and meet legal or accounting requirements, then delete or anonymize it. We use reasonable safeguards, but no online service is completely secure.
Children
Our website isn’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal information.
