Booking, confirmation & changes
How do I book a hibachi at home party?
Book online in 5 quick steps — date and time, your contact info, party details, menu, and review — or call or text us at (626) 738-5992. No payment is needed to send your request; your Reservation Manager then contacts you to confirm availability and details.
Can I get a price estimate before booking?
Yes. The menu step of our booking form shows a live estimate as you choose your package, proteins and add-ons, including any weekday discount and travel fee. Your exact price is confirmed in your quote.
What happens after I book?
Your Reservation Manager contacts you by email, phone or text to confirm your date, guest count, address and menu. Once everything looks right, a $50 deposit reserves your date.
Do I need to choose proteins when I book?
You can pick them in the booking form, but nothing is locked in. Final guest count and protein choices are due 3 days before the party.
What's the deposit and cancellation policy?
A $50 deposit per party reserves your date. Cancel 7+ days out for a full refund of the deposit, 3–7 days out for a 50% refund; within 72 hours the deposit is forfeited.
Can I reschedule or change my event address?
Contact your Reservation Manager as early as possible and we'll check availability for your new date or location. If the new address is in a different travel zone, your travel fee is updated in your quote.
Pricing, payments & travel
How much does hibachi at home cost?
Regular is $55 per adult, Premium $70 per adult and Large Gathering Catering $45 per adult (40+ guests). Kids 5–12 are half price and children under 5 eat free. Every party has a $600 minimum; gratuity, optional upgrades and any travel fee are extra.
Do you offer discounts?
Yes: weekday parties (Monday–Thursday) are currently 10% off food and service. There is no discount on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Kids 5–12 are always half price and children under 5 eat free.
Do you charge a travel fee?
Travel is free within 30 miles of Los Angeles. Beyond that, a small travel fee applies. For locations such as San Diego or Palm Springs, the fee is typically around $40 and will be included in your quote before booking.
How can I pay?
We accept cash, credit card, Stripe, Zelle and check (processing fees apply to some methods). Cash is preferred.
Is gratuity included?
No. Gratuity isn't included in our package prices; you're welcome to tip your chef for a great show.
Menu, proteins & beverages
What comes with each hibachi meal?
Every meal includes hibachi fried rice, fresh vegetables, a side salad and our signature sauces, plus two proteins per guest cooked to order on the grill.
Which proteins can we choose?
Chicken, steak, shrimp, salmon and tofu are included on Regular. Filet mignon (+$5), scallops (+$5) and lobster tail (+$10) are upgrades on Regular and included on Premium. Extra portions and sides like gyoza, edamame and noodles can be added.
Do you serve sake?
Yes — sake is part of the hibachi show for guests 21 and over, and Premium includes unlimited sake. You're welcome to provide any other drinks for your party.
Dietary needs & allergies
Can you accommodate dietary needs?
Yes. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and allergy-friendly options are available — tofu is always on the menu. Tell us in the notes when you book and confirm with your Reservation Manager.
How do you handle food allergies?
List every allergy when you book so your chef can plan the cook order and ingredients. Hibachi is cooked on a shared grill, so let us know about severe allergies in advance and we'll discuss what's possible.
Venue, setup & weather
What do I need to provide?
Just the space — a flat outdoor or garage area about 10×10 ft for the grill. We bring the portable propane grill, utensils and all the food. Table, chair and tablecloth setup is available for $8 per guest.
Can the chef cook indoors?
Only in a well-ventilated space with a high ceiling, such as a garage with the door open. Open flames aren't allowed under low ceilings or indoors without ventilation.
What if it rains or is very windy?
A covered patio or open garage usually keeps the party going. Our chef considers weather, ventilation and the surroundings before cooking; if conditions aren't safe, we may adjust the setup or postpone the cooking portion.
Arrival & event timing
When does the chef arrive?
About 30 minutes before your start time, to set up the grill and cooking area.
How long does the hibachi service last?
Regular is about 90 minutes of cooking and show; Premium is about 120 minutes. Setup and cleanup are handled by us.
How far in advance should I book?
2–3 weeks ahead is ideal, especially for weekends. We can sometimes fit same-week parties, so call or text us if your date is soon.
Group size & event types
What's the minimum party size?
There's no minimum headcount, but every party has a $600 minimum. Smaller parties, like a date night, reach it with upgrades, extra proteins or sides. Large Gathering Catering requires at least 40 guests.
What kinds of events do you cater?
Birthdays, graduations, anniversaries, date nights, bachelor and bachelorette parties, weddings and engagements, family gatherings, corporate events and holiday parties.
Can you handle a big party?
Yes. For 40 or more guests, Large Gathering Catering is a chef-prepared buffet with a set menu of three proteins at $45 per adult. For very large or multi-grill events, call us to plan the setup.
Insurance & safety
Do you carry insurance for your hibachi catering services?
Yes, we can provide insurance documentation when required by a venue, property manager, or event organizer. If your event requires a Certificate of Insurance (COI) or additional-insured coverage, please let us know before booking so we can review the requirements and determine what documentation is available for your event.
How do you keep the cooking area safe during the event?
Safety is an important part of every hibachi experience. Before cooking, our chef evaluates the setup area and makes sure the grill is placed on a stable, appropriate surface with adequate clearance from walls, furniture, and other combustible materials. We also take weather, ventilation, and the surrounding environment into consideration. If conditions are not suitable for safe cooking, we may adjust the setup or postpone the cooking portion of the service.
What safety measures do you take with your hibachi grill and propane equipment?
Our mobile hibachi setup is designed for on-site cooking. Before each event, we check the cooking equipment and propane connections to make sure everything is in proper working condition. Propane cylinders are handled and transported according to applicable safety requirements, and any equipment that appears damaged or unsafe is not used. Our chef also follows proper procedures for setup, ignition, cooking, shutdown, and equipment removal.
